The Light, Flexible and Waterproof Rechargeable Battery
This is the item I wish had been available when I soloed down Taylor valley, part of the McMurdo Dry Valleys in Antarctica, towards Lake Fryxell, for the reason that, other than my continual need for warmth and shelter, power was my second most important critical requirement!
The really smart feature about the Tex-Flex 3 is how you store and use it. When tucked away in a warm inside pocket – cold is the enemy of battery life and power output – you don’t need to open your jacket and get it out and this is all because of the power is delivered to whatever device you are using via a tough braided cable, threaded down your sleeve so that the controller is literally to hand.
Added to this, the small and very light (100g) battery is sealed in a waterproof (IP67) soft feel leather wallet, that can be folded very small to suit any pocket size, which, along with the sleeve cable (IP65), are very comfortable to wear; you soon forget it’s there.
Perfect for micro-adventures of 1 day or, when on an expedition like my Antarctic venture, quickly, easily accessible power which I could have recharged each night using an Infinite Orbit, had that be invented then too; now that’s surreal!
