The Garmin eTrex 10 Basic GPS Pack
Just because this is entry level priced doesn’t mean it’s not powerful, it does almost everything the really expensive ones do, only you will need to carry a separate map. The Garmin eTrex 10 is rugged design and is waterproof rated to IPX7, has 2.2″ monochrome display and a high sensitivity WAAS (Wide Area Augmentation Service) enabled receiver. As well as receiving signals from GPS (American Satnav Satellites) and Galileo (European Satnav satellites) it will also receive signals from GLONASS (Russian Satnav satellites) meaning it can get a faster, more accurate fix due to more satellite availability!
If you are new to GPS navigation this is the pack for you and it is very popular with people who enjoy geochaching. Navigators who like me prefer using a map and compass, carry this as their failsafe backup satnav.

Top Tip – This unit uses two AA batteries (not included) we recommend that you use Energiser Lithium AA batteries. Lithium batteries last considerably longer than alkaline batteries, are not effected by extreme cold and do not ‘leak’ power when not in use. (Especially ideal if you are using the unit as a back up and it pretty much lives in the bottom of your sack!).
