Nice pack – the cards replace the laminated versions I had made myself with some far more professional looking versions.
Could be improved with a small hole in each to thread onto a lanyard and another card with a scale/distance ready reckoner (this laminated card still gets a place on my compass)

The Romer is brilliant, the data cards complete the package. As a DofE support leader, the kids can really apply classroom principles with precision using these items. I would add the chinagraph pencils too when ordering; plotting routes and adding features to your maps are so much easier with quality Staedler pencils.
The items in this pack will last a lifetime. Don’t head out to the hills without them.

This is my second set of these.. First was unfortunately stolen in a bag.. They are well made cards and excellent aides to navigation. Each of the cards is about credit card size. I’d say a great help for anyone doing nav and route planning

Agree with most comments above: despatch & delivery very good; products really good; value for money very good. Being picky: the lanyard’s a bit heavy duty; punched holes in the nav cards almost essential. But don’t hesitate – just buy this impressive navigation pack (I can see myself buying spares).

The Romer is brilliant – having a square grid to place over a map square makes reading a grid ref so much easier than using just a ruler type of Romer – especially in bad weather!

PS – The pen can be easily wiped off laminated (waterproof) maps with an alcohol wipe, allowing you to freely mark & write on your maps as you need to. 😉

Great pack! Grid Reference Tool is super useful (obviously) for topo maps, but I also like the cards included regarding pace/timing/slope angle for planing routes. The emergency call info card is especially useful as it includes ground to air signals (which is just good to have on you when needed). I will need to try the included pen on Rite in the Rain notebook but based on reviews this should work great.
