Description
One of the practices we encourage people to adopt is to use electrical kit that all uses the same size of battery – AA. By doing this you only need to carry a few spare batteries.
The 4 x AA Luminous Battery Caddy is a really neat invention keeps them easily accessible, safe and protects them from self-discharging:
- Glows in the dark (Actually they SHINE. Whatever technology is used to give them their luminosity is the best we have ever come across).
- Holds batteries securely in place with a unique locking feature
- Protect the terminals of the batteries at both ends reducing self-discharging.
- Manufactured in tough polypropylene.
Adopt the simple technique of placing all your charged batteries with the anode at the top and spent batteries upside down.
Plus they are great for keeping batteries safe on flights where you are not allowed to store them in the aircraft’s hold (lithium batteries).

Bought both the orange and the luminous, which are otherwise identical.
Excellent product and like Ronseal, it does what it says on the tin.
But the brightness of the luminous caddy is not bright, it is incredibly bright. So much so, that in my tent I had to cover as I could not get to sleep for its glow, quite incredible.

I also purchased both the luminous and the orange caddy. They are such a simple and clever idea. By keeping your fully charged batteries in the caddy you don’t have to endure the lucky dip rummage into the depths of your rucksack trying to find couple of charged batteries.
Oh, and Callum is spot on about the brightness of the luminous caddy – it’s not going to get lost in the dark recesses of your rucksack!

This is a fine product – feels solid and holds batteries securely (only time will tell how durable it is). Luminosity is good (but I wouldn’t say incredible even after a full day on the windowsill in sunshine).
The main reason for leaving a review, however, is not the product but the customer service. I have placed two orders with this company. The first was shipped within two hours of me placing it and arrived 1st post next day. The second order was placed late in the day but I got an email at 10pm to say it was shipped!
Now that is what I call incredible!!
Keep up the good work and thanks.

Cracking product. Holds the batteries very securely, feels well made and durable and the thing glows like no other luminous product I have ever seen – a big plus when looking for replacement batteries for GPS/Headtorch in a gloomy rucksack or dark tent. Fastest delivery ever – placing another order now! Thanks to all at Shaven Raspberry.
