Every compass comes with a FREE 6 & 8 Figure Grid Reference Tool worth £2.99. This is essential kit!

Compass romers are pretty useless for reading a precise grid reference on a map. So we designed a the shavenraspberry grid reference card to take the guess work out of grid references.

Whether you need to give somebody your precise location, set up a meeting point, find a GPS waypoint or mark any point of interest on a map, accept no substitute, the SR GRT accurately reads 6 and 8 figure grid references and precisely measures distance on the map.

Description

Silva Expedition 4 Military compass (NATO)

Includes a Free Grid Reference Tool

The ubiquitous military compass suitable for all navigational duties.  The long base plate makes it comfortable to hold and enables quick and accurate bearing points.  The bezel is primarily marked with 6400 mils and has the 360 degree markers on the inside for use with civi maps.  The needle and cardinal points have Tritium compound 80 MCi illumination that once activated by daylight or torch light will provide up to 4 hours of illumination.

Silicone gripper feet on the base stop the Type 4 from slipping when taking bearings and the base plate features 1:25k, 1:50k and 1:40k roamer scales plus centimetre and inch rulers.  A large magnifying lens enables accurate contour counting and point identification.

A classic compass that is used by NATO forces around the world.
